Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team in a primary school in Nottingham (NG7). The ideal candidates will have strong behaviour management skills, along with a desire to work within a primary school setting, providing mentorship and support to students.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one and group mentorship sessions to students, focusing on sports engagement and behavioural development.
2. Manage the reflection room within the school.
3. Support students in developing positive behaviour and social skills both inside and outside the classroom.
4. Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create personalised support plans for students.
5. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
6. Act as a positive role model for students, promoting consistency and support for all students.
Basic Requirements:
1. Experience working with children or young people in a mentoring or educational setting.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
3. Understanding of safeguarding principles and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
4. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the needs of secondary school students and the school environment.
5. Flexibility to work school hours and occasional evenings to support Parent's Evenings.
