Neonatal Community Outreach
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital (RSUH) site in Stoke-on-Trent with the development of a Neonatal Community Outreach Team. RSUH is a £350 million state of the art hospital development that, along with County Hospital in Stafford, serves the population of Staffordshire and beyond, with both local and specialist tertiary services.
The Neonatal Community Outreach Team is an integrated hospital – community team which will facilitate the early discharge of babies who have been resident within the Neonatal Unit, or the Transitional care unit, at RSUH/UHNM.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a state of the art Level 3 Unit (providing the highest levels of care) and is part of the West Midlands Neonatal Operational Network. The Unit is a modern, purpose built facility, providing the most up to date technology, enabling us to support the sickest of babies, including therapeutic cooling.
The Neonatal Community Outreach Team provides care for babies with on-going medical or nursing needs including home oxygen, establishing feeds, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and home phototherapy.
The Neonatal Community Outreach Team is part of the UHNM Maternity, Neonatal and Gynaecology Directorate. The Directorate offers you the opportunity to develop your career aspirations via a yearly appraisal and bespoke training and development plan with access, and support from, the Directorate and Corporate Educational and Development teams. In return we are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Neonatal Nurse who, through interview and assessment, demonstrates a commitment to delivering exceptional care to babies and families.
