To support our 2020 growth agenda we have a great opportunity for a Depot General Manager to manage one of our new Depots in Tyneside The role will be accountable for 100 heads, a multi-million £ operating budget and a transport function with a large fleet of commercial vehicles. The Depot General Manager will be responsible for leading the team, operational management, financial control, compliance, safety all whilst driving a continuous improvement agenda that allows us to continually strive towards making Hermes a great place to work. In addition to your team, you'll be joining a team of 26 Logistics professionals who are responsible for managing our Depot network across the country. This position is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference and be responsible for positive change. Improved and more efficient ways of working are encouraged. Experience/Qualifications: Management experience of leading and managing a team Experience of managing operational budgets and targets Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office An understanding of Transport regulations Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels Flexible approach to work to meet business requirements Responsibilities: Manage a team of 4 Direct Reports and a team of up to 100 indirect reports providing leadership and direction for the shift Ensure Depot meets client SLA's and budgetary targets Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
