We are looking for a Commercial and Contract Management Lead for a 12 Month contrac t based in Derby (1-2 days per week) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs. Purpose of the Role: As the Commercial and Contract Management Lead responsible for the oversight of core IT services, including mobility and telecommunication solutions, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising a portfolio of global contracts with high-value third-party suppliers. This position requires adept contract management expertise, focusing on both financial oversight and operational management across a complex landscape of mobility, audio/visual, and telecommunications assets. Working with suppliers like Vodafone UK and Deutschland, you will be accountable for the overall contract value, ensuring cost efficiencies, resolving disputes, and maintaining service levels across a user base of 9,500 end users. As a Commercial and Contract Management Lead you will be responsible for: Supplier Relationship and Contract Oversight Oversee multiple high-value contracts with a focus on maintaining and improving the cost-effectiveness and performance of key suppliers within IT service areas, particularly Vodafone. Act as a primary contact for supplier management, including operational, financial, and SLA performance, ensuring services meet expected standards and addressing escalations as needed. Develop and present performance insights, consolidating data and evidence to support issue resolution and facilitate contract negotiations. Profit and Loss Management Own the profit and loss (P&L) accountability related to supplier-delivered products and services. This includes driving commercial efficiencies, managing operational metrics, and proactively mitigating financial risks to stay within budgeted costs. Operational and SLA Management Ensure that suppliers meet all contractual obligations related to SLAs, quality, and performance targets, especially in unpredictable or high-complexity scenarios. Monitor and report on SLA adherence and operational standards, driving continuous improvement and ensuring proactive risk management in line with service architecture standards. Cross-functional Coordination Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including the Head of Service Performance, Service Architect, and Sector CDIO, to align on contract goals and drive service improvement initiatives. Partner with external suppliers and vendors to strengthen strategic relationships, facilitating smooth service delivery and effective conflict resolution when necessary. What we require from the candidate: Demonstrable experience managing global, multi-national contracts with a specific focus on IT, telecommunications, and mobility solutions. Expertise in supplier relationship management, particularly within shared services or large enterprise environments. ITIL or equivalent qualification, with experience in a structured service delivery organisation. Exceptional influencing skills with an ability to navigate complex service landscapes and negotiate with senior stakeholders across regions. Solid background in managing enterprise mobility solutions, and leasing arrangements for telecoms and AV equipment. In-depth understanding of mobility and call plans, with a track record in financial management and contract dispute resolution.
