A prestigious 4-star hotel in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chef De Parte to oversee its thriving events and hospitality department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of conferences, banquets, and special events, maintaining the hotel's reputation for excellence.
As Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, managing your own section while ensuring the highest culinary standards. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to maintain quality, consistency, and efficiency in all dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes for restaurant service, banquets, and events.
* Manage your designated section efficiently, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
* Maintain food safety, hygiene, and allergen compliance at all times.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to develop innovative menus.
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering to minimize waste.
* Train and mentor junior chefs to maintain high culinary standards.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel, fine dining, or high-end restaurant.
* Strong knowledge of classic and modern cooking techniques.
* Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and exceptional food presentation.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
* Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
