Description The Service & Team: Early Years Inclusion and SEND The Role: We support children aged 0-5 years with additional needs across Cornwall who are accessing early years provision. We provide support through modelling, training and signposting. The Specialist Early Years Social Communication and Autism role will entail you working with and being directed by a Senior Area SENDCo, to support inclusion and empower setting practitioners, in liaison with the key person, setting SENDCo and wider multi-agency support Working Pattern: This position is for 20 hours all year round contract. We can offer some flexibility in the days worked. What you’ll need to succeed: NVQ Level 3 in Early Years. An awareness of child development and appropriate expectation of children aged 0-5 years Substantial experience on a range of autism specific strategies and approaches in the Early Years Foundation Stage. A working knowledge of SEND code of practice and graduated response process. Good knowledge of EYFS framework. Ability to work as part of a team both flexibility and independently. Experience of delivering or co-delivering training. Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work within time constraints. Ability to be pro active and response and to think and react quickly and effectively to respond to diverse needs. Confident in using ICT Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A valid driving driving license and assess to a suitable vehicle.
