Mechanical Project Manager (Mechanical Experience Essential) Location: Norwich Rate: Circa £450 per day Travel to site required Our client, a Tier 1 contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a subcontract role on a major project in Norwich. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards. Lead and coordinate project teams, including contractors, engineers, and site personnel. Develop and manage project schedules, forecasts, and financial reports, proactively addressing risks. Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations on-site. Collaborate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, providing technical support and issue resolution. Supervise installation and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet design specifications. Manage procurement and material logistics to maintain smooth project progression. Key Requirements: Proven experience managing mechanical projects, ideally in the life sciences sector. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, pipework) and electrical integration. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Strong leadership and communication abilities to drive project success. Proficiency in project management software and relevant industry tools. A valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification (preferred but not essential).
