Job summary Thames Valley Cancer Alliance (TVCA) is a partnership that brings together leaders from different hospital trusts, GPs and primary care, health and social organisations, covering a population of nearly 1.8 million people. Our aim is to improve the diagnosis, treatment and care for cancer patients in our local area. We are seeking to recruit a Senior Programme Manager - Diagnostics to join our innovative and dynamic team. The post holder will work closely with and support the Head of Service Improvement within the Service Improvement, Operational Performance and Analytics portfolios to ensure the TVCA deliver improvements to diagnostic pathway across all cancer pathways to support delivering performance across our footprint. Main duties of the job The post is responsible for delivering transformational change and quality improvements, to improve the experience for cancer patients across Thames Valley. This role will involve complex negotiation and influence with senior service colleagues, clinicians and managers at both an operational and strategic level across the Alliance geography. The successful candidates will: Drive improvements in delivering the cancer constitutional standards and associated diagnostic standards. Support the implementation of integrated services through collaborative work across the Thames Valley system and promote a sense of collective responsibility across partners. Manage a complex diverse portfolio, flexing to need but consistently demonstrating measured change/delivery. Effectively use methodologies and approaches to deliver transformational change including maximising quality and patient experience. Work in a flexible, agile way across the whole TVCA agenda, moving across work streams when required. Capture and share learning from the cancer programme and contribute to best practice thinking on future delivery models and approaches. You will be deeply committed to system integration and have a natural ability to engage and collaborate with varied stakeholders and continue to improve the health and wellbeing of our population.
