Job Title: Senior Support Worker or Deputy Manager – Residential Childcare
Location: LE2, Leicester
Salary: £24k-£30k (DOE) + £50 per sleep-in (for Senior Support Worker)
Salary: £29,120 per annum + £50 per sleep-in (for Deputy Manager)

Key Responsibilities:
For Senior Support Workers: Provide day-to-day care for young residents, including supporting them in activities, education, and statutory meetings.
For Deputy Manager: Assist the Manager in overseeing the operations of the residential setting and provide leadership to a team of care staff.
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of young people at all times.
Participate in household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and general upkeep of the home.
For Deputy Manager: Ensure compliance with all regulations and support staff development through training and supervision.
Person Specification:
Proficient in written and spoken English for record-keeping and report writing.
Experience working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviours.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to plan and coordinate activities.
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
For Senior Support Workers: Experience working in a similar environment with young people.
For Deputy Managers: Previous experience in a residential childcare setting and leadership skills.
Essential Requirements for both:
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Full UK Manual Driving License
Experience working with young people and a passion for making a difference.
