Registered Service Manager
* Annual Salary: 45,000 per annum
* Location: East London
* Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
We are seeking a Registered Service Manager to oversee the provision of quality residential and respite care services. This role is responsible for ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with our service principles, policies, and under the supervision of the Operations Director.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Organise and maintain the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring effective staff deployment.
* Supervise, train, and support the deputy manager and support staff, ensuring all are effective in their roles.
* Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of staff.
* Chair regular staff meetings and represent the service at management and company meetings.
* Liaise with staff and other professionals from different disciplines and agencies to promote effective collaboration.
* Establish, maintain, and monitor standards of performance across all aspects of the service.
* Manage the service's budget, maintain administrative records, and ensure compliance with health and safety codes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* RMA / ILM, Health and Social Care Level 4 NVQ or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of experience managing a care home.
* In-depth knowledge of the care needs of adults with learning disabilities.
* Experience in managing challenging behaviours and supporting families and carers under stress.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a large multicultural staff team.
* Excellent budget management skills and the ability to allocate resources according to agreed priorities.
