Flourish Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support in a small Primary School in Kings Norton. The school believe in empowering pupils, promoting achievements and being a fully inclusive learning environment.
Our client is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP and continuing for the full academic year. In this role, you will be supporting across Year 2 and Year 3, working with children who have Autism. The responsibilities of this role would include working 1-1 and in small groups to provide interventions and support children in completing tasks.
This SEND Teaching Assistant role would be a long-term, full-time role, starting ASAP and is continuing until the end of the academic year.
The responsibilities of this SEND Teaching Assistant Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group interventions for children with SEND, particularly those with Autism.
Support teachers in delivering the National Curriculum across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities for pupils with special educational needs.
Foster an inclusive environment within the Primary School, helping all children achieve their potential.
Working to EHCP’s and IEP’s.
Maintain detailed records of student progress to the SENCO and Class Teacher.
Required Skills and Experience:
To hold a Level 2 or Level 3 in a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.
