This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager to join strategic role within Credit Risk reporting to the Head of Credit Risk Provisions and Forecasting. You are responsible for end-to-end impairment calculation and forecasting across given portfolio(s), along with impairment and RWA projections in a regulatory stress exercise (like PRA - Prudential Regulation Authority, EBA - European Banking Authority, ICAAP - Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process). In addition, you will also be responsible to continually develop the Impairment and forecasting infrastructure to ensure it is culturally aligned to business needs and regulatory requirements. This role also involves leading medium-large technical teams, therefore you must be a confident leader and able to inspire, lead technical teams. The difference you'll make: Operating the monthly credit provision processes including post model adjustments, supporting external audit processes and external reporting Leading technical teams and being able to develop technical teams Implementing and optimising control framework over all models and processes to ensure reliability of results for financial reporting, and management projections Providing credit loss and risk weighted asset projections in stress test exercises both internal and regulatory (EBA and PRA) and contributes to budget forecast Supporting line manager in Model Ownership responsibilities, working with methodology and internal validation to develop the models and put them through the appropriate governance Maintaining an effective risk management framework in which credit risks are effectively identified, quantified monitored and communicated What you'll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role: Experience leading technical teams, capable of setting and delivering strategy, building and managing high performing teams including coaching and mentoring An expert understanding of the financial services industry and IFRS9 standards, with experience of working in a Credit Risk function or Impairment and forecasting Experience executing complex models and reporting key messages to senior audiences It would also be nice for you to have: In depth understanding of the tools and techniques used for impairment and forecasting assessment, and their limitations such as, regression analysis, Markov processes, z-shift approaches Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills What else you need to know: This permanent role is based in Milton Keynes. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
