Clare Veterinary Group are looking for a Graduate Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. We are in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, in an area close to Belfast with good transport links. We have a large, supportive team of 22 Vets and 16 RVNs and great support staff. Our Vets hold certificates in Emergency & Critical Care, SA surgery, with one Vet working towards a GP Vet Futures certificate.
We have a purpose-built hospital premises with 4 consult rooms; a large prep room; two separate theatres; an x-ray and scanning suite; dental suite; laboratory room; isolation; kennels; cattery and exotics room. A dedicated large animal room also purpose built to allow procedures to take place onsite as well as at farm. All routine farm equipment provided to enable role.
40 hours per week. We cover our own OOHs and weekend cover, which is shared amongst our team, with graduates having a Clinical Director or Senior Veterinary Surgeon as back up.
We offer a high level of support to our graduates, with dedicated Vet GDP support and also from our team of support staff, RVNs, experienced Vets, Senior Vets and Clinical Directors. Dedicated Farm Vets to support new grads to coach and develop large animal skills and knowledge. There will be plenty of opportunity to develop your skills in areas of interest due to a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases in both small and large animal.

Caseload split of 70:30 Small Animal/Farm.
