Windlesham, Surrey (site-based) with flexibility to attend projects in London and the Home Counties.

We now seek a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Science & Higher Education division on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of our construction projects, optimising the profitability and cash flow of projects, managing subcontractor selection, and ensuring processes are well documented and accessible for sign-off.
Your role will involve:
1. Overseeing the second stage tendering process
2. Producing accurate and timely financial reports
3. Leading change management, including loss and expense matters
About You
To be considered as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will need to demonstrate:
1. Relevant experience in the construction sector and knowledge of the complexities involved
2. Experience in managing large teams (desirable)
3. Proven record of dealing with several projects of varying value, type and complexity
4. Familiarity with standard forms of measurement and managing re-measurement
5. An expert understanding of the relationship between cost and value
6. The ability to review and challenge construction and pre-construction programmes
7. Excellent risk mitigation strategies
8. The ability to plan, maintain, control and report on the financial administration of projects
9. Strong negotiation skills
10. A relevant professional qualification
