Reference 2024-14688 Line Of Business CONTRACT LOGISTICS Type of assignment Full-time Regular Function Operational activities - Handling Job title Team Leader Position requirements and constraints (working hours…) Monday to Friday, 13:30 to 22:00 Job description The Team Leader is responsible for directing workflow within the DC in accordance with the Warehouse Supervisor instruction, facilitating the inbound, outbound, value added services and fulfilment elements of the DC. • Track hours within their team to allow accurate allocation by the Supervisor • Lead employees / temps within the DC to provide excellent customer service • Coordinate with Supervisor to ensure customer orders are ready in line with scheduled departures, t, that value added activities are on schedule to the correct standards • Monitor productivity • Facilitate efficient movement / transit of goods throughout the DC • Ensure all equipment is used in a safe and efficient manner following defined procedures • Assist in training activities • Lead by example at all times • Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion and promote this practice • Participate in re-work and project work as required by the customer • Assist in maintaining the security of the DC by promoting processes which promote the safety and security of the DC • Assist in completing RCA's/8D's to establish reasons for discrepancies and suggest mitigating or preventative measures. • Work with Supervisors to ensure ISO / HMRC / SMS / HSE compliance for assigned facilities • Assist in maintaining physical properties and promote and ensure a clean and safe work environment • Promote GEODIS in a positive and ethical manner always • Carry out any reasonable request Applicant's profile • Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution centre experience • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred • GCSE's in Maths, English and Science (grades A to C) • Ability to read and write simple instructions, memos, and reports • Assist in providing ideas to improve their team's function • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided by written, oral or diagram form • Experience with warehouse equipment • Assist in overcoming Logistical Constraints within their specific team in the DC • Assist in producing class leading performance and adherence to their team's KPI's • Ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel • Builds solidarity through team development • Supervisory experience • Shows commitment – goes the extra mile Working time (%) 100 Position place Europe, United Kingdom, England, Leicestershire Location Geodis Mattel, Optimas Point, Unit 8 Roman Ave, Leicester LE3 8JT Candidate criteria Years of experience in similar position Junior (1 to 5 years of experience) Driving license Not required
