As an Employability Practitioner covering Port Glasgow / Greenock. This position exists to co-ordinate an open-access Employment Plus service which will assist individuals in addressing barriers to finding and sustaining employment and/or in becoming digitally included. Within The Salvation Army, this position is called Employment Development Coordinator .
Key Responsibilities: This role involves identifying, developing, securing and helping sustain appropriate work opportunities for unemployed persons within the local community.
In addition, you will develop and maintain close working partnerships with Homelessness Services, Community Services and Corps, to support those in the community experiencing unemployment.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. Experience in delivering personalised employability skills to people experiencing unemployment/underemployment.
2. Proven ability to be self-directing.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Understanding of money management.
5. Driving Licence and access to a car is essential.
