Our client is a successful engineering business with sites throughout UK & Europe, they are currently recruiting a Plant Hire Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of plant and equipment by successfully coordinating the maintenance and repair of equipment located on sites throughout the UK. The role involves daily communication with plant maintenance providers, reporting & recording breakdowns, creating purchase orders for repairs and generating recharges to various projects.
Responsibilities:
* Daily reporting of plant breakdowns to various maintenance providers and coordinating the repair whilst in regular contact with the site team.
* Recording of all breakdowns per machine.
* Ensuring that all plant repair schedules are carried out on time and any remedial repairs are coordinated and completed.
* Creating Purchase Orders for repair costs & approval of corresponding supplier invoices.
* Generating recharges where applicable, for damage charges and maintenance costs, to other business units and construction projects.
* Collating data for monthly reporting on plant profitability, utilisation, projection of expenditure.
* Price checking of parts.
Skills:
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Well organised with the ability to prioritise workload
* Strong team player
* Good IT skills
* Previous construction or plant hire industry employment is highly desirable
