Primaire Consulting are partnered with a leading international valve manufacturer, supplying high-quality valves and steam-related products across various industries.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a technically minded and customer-focused Internal Sales Engineer to support their sales operations and ensure outstanding service to their customers.
This is a key role within the sales office, providing technical and commercial support, handling sales enquiries, preparing quotations, and ensuring the smooth processing of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage incoming customer enquiries, providing technical and commercial support.
* Prepare quotations, working closely with suppliers and our parent company.
* Process and administer sales orders, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
* Assist in technical troubleshooting and offer solutions tailored to customer needs.
* Provide support to the external sales team and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Work closely with headquarters in Germany on technical and commercial matters.
* Ensure accurate data entry and management within ERP & CRM systems.
Qualifications & Experience
* Engineering qualification or technical sales experience (preferred).
* Knowledge of valves, steam systems, and related applications (advantageous but not essential).
* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to provide technical advice.
* Experience in internal sales, order processing, or customer service in a technical environment.
* Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone, with the ability to engage customers and understand their needs.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including ERP & CRM software, Microsoft Office, and general computer literacy.
* AutoCAD experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
