Job summary We are looking for one fulltime and one part-time experienced Clinical Support Worker to work in our Outpatient Oncology / Haematology Unit at the Judy Beard Day Unit at Conquest Hospital. The unit comprises of 18 treatment chairs/bed: treating, assessing Haematology and Oncology patients receiving Systemic Anti-cancer Treatments and supportive treatments. We are a small friendly team who are committed to providing high quality care to our patients. The candidate will be someone with experience in a Health or Social Care Environment and it is desirable that you have six months of experience working in the NHS, preferably within the last two years, with a Care Certificate qualification. National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or an acceptable alternative Level 3 Qualification Main duties of the job Your working pattern will be three/four shifts, between the hours of 08:00-18:00 over a six-day period covering Monday-Saturdays. You will be required to assist the trained SACT nurses to enable and enhance an efficient service delivery. This will include carrying out Aseptic Non-Touch Technique procedures. We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship and clinical supervision on the unit and are committed to professional development of all staff.
