The Role As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and group support to students in different special schools, adapting to each school's approach. You will help create a nurturing and structured learning environment, ensuring pupils feel safe, supported, and engaged in their education. Main Responsibilities Support students with a range of complex needs, including Autism, PMLD, and SEMH. Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual learning and care plans. Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required. Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and patient manner. Foster independence, confidence, and social skills in pupils. Adapt quickly to different schools and class environments. Essential Criteria Previous experience working in special schools or with children with SEND. High levels of patience, empathy, and resilience. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour. A flexible and adaptable approach to work in different settings. Access to a car and a valid driving licence. Desirable Criteria Relevant qualifications. Experience using communication aids and sensory integration techniques. Team Teach training.
