We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Communities and Leisure Team as a Health and Wellbeing Business Support Officer. Your role: The Health and Wellbeing Team at East Suffolk Council work across several projects and with many stakeholders, with the overall aim of improving health and reducing health inequalities for residents across East Suffolk. An example of our work includes ‘Feel Good Suffolk’, which is an exciting partnership across Suffolk with the aim of empowering clients to take control of their health and wellbeing with health improvement changes such as tackling obesity, increasing physical activity levels, and stopping smoking. The Team also assists with wider Leisure, Health, and Wellbeing projects, including work with leisure providers, voluntary and community sector organisations, and health partners to develop and deliver local programmes. As a Health and Wellbeing Business Support Officer, you will be required to provide key administrative and business support to the Feel Good Suffolk operational team and the wider Health, Wellbeing and Leisure Team to ensure smooth and effective delivery of key health and wellbeing programmes, including our ‘Strength and Balance’ programme and other projects arising. You will support internal functions such as team meetings, business, finance, and administrative processes. We are looking for an organised and efficient Business Support Officer to work across a range of tasks, including updating records on a case management system, communicating with clients via email and telephone, inputting and analysing data, and raising invoices and purchase orders. You’ll be joining an enthusiastic team working in partnership with each other to deliver the best outcomes for the people of Suffolk. You will also have access to development opportunities within health and wellbeing whilst gaining experience working closely with our delivery teams and external partners. What you will need: The post holder will have experience in dealing with a variety of administrative processes and IT systems. The candidate will also have excellent time management, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience of working within a health and wellbeing service, or knowledge of health and accessibility barriers faced by East Suffolk residents would also be highly advantageous to the role.
