We're looking for a Head of Digital Enterprise Architecture. Based at our Capenhurst and Stoke Poges site locations you'll be responsible for designing, embedding, and maintaining robust and scalable architectures across Urenco' s digital estate. This role requires an in-depth understanding of architecture frameworks, particularly SABSA and the TOGAF ADM, to ensure that the company's Information technology capabilities aligns with business goals and security requirements. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with the Information Security department to integrate security best practices into the overall architecture, developing standards and reference architectures that will form the basis for standardized and repeatable IT deliveries across the business. What you'll do: • Sign and implement enterprise-wide architecture solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with the companys strategic goals. • Ensure that architecture solutions meet performance, security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness criteria. • Leverage SABSA (Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture) and TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) to structure and organize the development of business and technical architecture. • Collaborate with the Information Security department to incorporate robust security principles into the architecture. • Support the development of information security standards and reference architectures that align with Urenco's cybersecurity policies and frameworks. • Ensure all architectural designs meet or exceed security requirements to mitigate risks and support compliance initiatives. • Support the Head of Digital Enterprise Architecture with the adoption of architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization. • Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps and future-state visions to guide ongoing projects and initiatives. • Provide expert-level guidance and oversight in the development and deployment of architecture solutions, ensuring consistent alignment with business goals. • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across IT, Information Security, and business units to ensure alignment between technology and business objectives. • Act as a key advisor on technology decisions and architecture strategies, particularly in relation to risk, security, and compliance. • Influence and support the organization in adopting new technologies and aligning them with both security requirements and business goals. What do you need to thrive in this role? • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • Holder or working towards professional certifications in TOGAF and/or SABSA. • At least 5 number of years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on integrating security principles. • Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g., energy, finance, or critical infrastructure sectors). • Proven experience in stakeholder management and leadership within enterprise environments. • Working knowledge of regulations surrounding the nuclear industry. • Working knowledge of three tier Operational Technology (OT) security architectures as per Purdue model. • Certification or working towards certification in IEC 62443 would be advantageous. • Knowledge and practical application of SABSA and TOGAF frameworks. • Expertise in designing cloud, hybrid, and on-premise solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness. • Proficient in integration technologies, API management, and microservices architecture to support modern enterprise needs. • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and how to integrate security principles into enterprise architecture. • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and DevSecOps.
