We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to join our dynamic Sales team at Highland Spring Group. In this role, you will manage and develop key customer relationships and the associated P&L to achieve sales volume, value, and profit targets. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive growth, deliver creative joint business plans, and identify new business opportunities that align with our Sales & Marketing strategies.
In this role, your day-to-day activities will be varied and fast-paced. You will lead and execute joint business plans with customers, ensuring the alignment of objectives and targets. This involves managing trade spend, promotional budgets, and driving category growth initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing to ensure accurate forecasting, availability, and timely delivery. You will also spend time meeting with customers, building relationships, and seeking out new business opportunities. Regular forecasting, reporting, and tracking of sales performance will be essential to stay on top of your key metrics and ensure the growth of your accounts.
What you can expect:
Finance & P&L Management
* You will take the lead in driving sales volume, value, and net margin for your accounts, ensuring the successful implementation of joint business plans.
* You’ll be responsible for managing trade spend and promotional budgets, making sure you deliver profitable results.
Forecasting & Reporting
* You can expect to provide accurate forecasting and reporting on key customer metrics, such as sales and profitability.
* Collaboration with Supply Chain will be key to ensuring that forecasting and availability targets are consistently met.
Distribution & Category Growth
* You will help maximise growth opportunities by ensuring the right product range is available within your customer portfolio.
* Leading the category growth agenda, you will leverage market insights and data to drive further success.
New Business Development
* You’ll have the opportunity to identify and pursue new distribution opportunities, expanding the reach of Highland Spring across your customer base.
Contact & Relationship Strategy
* Deepening and broadening your relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will be a key part of your role. You will actively engage with your customers to grow these relationships strategically.
Internal Stakeholder Management
* You will collaborate with key internal teams, including Supply Chain, Finance, Category, Marketing, and Sales, ensuring alignment with business objectives to achieve collective success.
What we are looking for:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience managing national accounts in the Wholesale/Convenience channel.
* Experience with Tesco Group (Tesco, Booker, One Stop) is highly desirable.
* Proven track record in delivering successful joint business plans and exceeding P&L targets.
* Experience within an FMCG environment.
* Demonstrated commercial acumen and category/brand understanding.
* Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
