Family Group Conference Coordinator
This role is fixed term until March 2026.
All about the Role
Peterborough Targeted Support Team have an exciting new vacancy.
You will be responsible for running and co-ordinating Family Group Conferences and Family Decision making meetings.
You will work restoratively to develop effective working relationships to deliver coordinated support to vulnerable Children, Young people, and their Families, keeping the child’s voice at the centre.
You will work in line with the principles and practices that underpin the Family Group Conferencing model (FGC) and build effective professional relationships with Children’s Social Care and Early Support services to deliver a high quality, effective Family Group Conferencing Service.
Good communication and interpersonal skills will be essential for this position. Conflict resolution skills are also vital to the position in order that differences of opinion can be expressed constructively. Your work hours will require a degree of flexibility to fit to the needs of the families.

All about You
* You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to provide written reports with service users and professionals.
* You have a basic understanding on the philosophy and principles of Family Group Conferencing and understand how these fit with FGC National Standards.
* You have a high level of computer literacy.
* You are willing and able to travel between locations.
* You have good conflict resolution skills and direct experience working with vulnerable families.
