ICHT provides expert critical care to patients across the St Mary’s, Charing Cross and Hammersmith hospital sites. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we now have funding for an establishment of an 8B clinical psychologist, two 8A, one band 7 and an assistant psychologist, to cover the three hospital sites. We are now looking to replace the 8A post at the Hammersmith Hospital site, to join the multi-disciplinary team.
A strong track record in Clinical Health Psychology is essential and experience of working in ICU or other intense acute hospital environments is highly desirable. The candidate will feel comfortable working with different disciplines and providing the voice of psychology into the medical team. They will be pro-active in collaborating in multidisciplinary projects and studies that address patient and service priorities. Internal audit and regular reporting is also an important aspect of the role.
The post is set within the wider context of the Clinical Health Psychology department with its headquarters at St Mary’s, where the postholder will have direct professional & operational support from the Head of Department and a skilled and sensitive group of peers. Professional development can draw from a range of senior leadership development courses at Imperial, as well as clinical skills development through the CNWL psychological professions CPD program.
Enquiries are welcome, directed to Agnes Kocsis, Head of Clinical Health Psychology, agnes.kocsis@nhs.net.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
