Job Summary
At Hardwood Landscapes, our maintenance offering is young, exciting, and growing. We are looking to take on an experienced horticulturist / team leader to join our maintenance team. We have some fantastic gardens and we are proud to maintain and continue to elevate these to exceeding standards.
In this position, you will be supporting the Head of Horticulture in supervising junior gardeners and maintenance operators while taking ownership of your own gardens. This role requires a hands-on and practical approach to ensure that the standard is replicated in a good manner.
We pride ourselves on teaching good horticultural practices to the less experienced members of the team, and a progression-focused work ethic is encouraged for those wanting to train in certain aspects of gardening. You should be able to support this. In turn, the Head of Horticulture will help to identify areas for your own development and will mentor you, assisting you in continuing your own journey.
As a senior gardener / horticulturalist, you will have very good plant knowledge and be well-versed in garden maintenance techniques. You should be aware of effective routines for machinery maintenance, health and safety regulations, have a sharp eye for detail, and possess the ability to supervise teams and communicate with clients.
It's a great opportunity for the right candidate to not just work in some amazing gardens but to help build an exciting team and be a part of creating a workplace for passionate horticulturists.
