Active Care Group is thrilled to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our expanding PBS team, supporting Ivetsey Bank Hospital. This specialist Tier 4 CAMHS unit provides high-quality care for young people with complex mental health needs, and we are looking for a dedicated practitioner to help shape the future of behaviour support within our service.
At Ivetsey Bank Hospital, our goal is to provide a safe, therapeutic environment where young people can stabilise, recover, and build resilience. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in shaping a positive, person-centred approach to care that supports both the young people and the wider hospital team. You will work closely with the operations and clinical teams to develop and implement ethical, least-restrictive behaviour support strategies for the young people with the aim of improving their overall well-being and quality of life.

What you'll be working:
Our standard working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and the post holder will be based at Ivetsey Bank Hospital.

What you'll be doing:
* Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments and develop scientifically grounded, data driven behaviour support plans, which effectively address behaviours of concern, promote skill development, and enhance overall well-being of the young people we support
* Providing expert advice and recommendations to staff regarding Positive Behaviour Support
* Implement, monitor and evaluate behaviour support plans with a focus on reducing behavioural incidents and improving quality of life for the young people we support
* Undertake regular incident analyses and reviews to facilitate valuable learning outcomes and identify necessary adaptations to behaviour support plans
* Provide coaching and mentoring to direct support staff to ensure the effective implementation of PBS strategies
* Conduct debrief sessions with staff and the young people following significant incidents to promote well-being
* Draft and present reports including visual graphs on the effectiveness of PBS interventions to MDT and other relevant stakeholders
* Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.
What you'll have:
* Relevant qualifications such as MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis/ Positive Behaviour Support are essential
* Recognised Trainer competencies or ability to work towards
* Extensive experience in providing support within a PBS framework, particularly for young people with diverse mental health needs and/or co-occurring conditions such as autism
* Knowledge of assessment tools and PBS processes, including the development and implementation of comprehensive behaviour support plans
* Good understanding of the relevant regulatory framework, legislation and compliance requirements
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
