We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £27,449.52 - £31,529.41 (pro rata for part time hours)

Responsibilities
About the role:
1. Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
2. Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
3. Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
4. Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
5. Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
6. Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
7. Research, design and prepare subject matter and materials for groups / pods.
8. Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery
9. Engage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after groups/pods have taken place, reviewing progress and identifying concerns with service users
10. Tailor specific workshops around the needs of the service users, such as: anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc.
About you:
1. Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
2. Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
3. Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
4. Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
5. Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
6. Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
7. Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
8. Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
9. Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
