The ability to work both in a team and independently, and to communicate in a wide variety of settings, is essential. The Newcastle Breast Screening Service delivers a screening service to a large rural area therefore a current driving licence and access to a car is essential. Applicants for the above post must hold a degree in Diagnostic or Therapeutic Radiography, be HCPC registered and have working knowledge of NHS policies and procedures. A postgraduate qualification in Mammographic studies or equivalent as approved by NHS Breast Screening Programme is also essential.
