About The Role: Days of Working: Monday to Friday Shift Pattern: 09:00am to 17:30pm Advertising Location: Nationwide Additional Information: Bonus scheme upon business achievements, hybrid working available upon business needs and scheduling. Reporting to the Chef Director and working within the culinary development and nutrition team, your primary responsibilities will include: Providing leadership, strategy and direction for the nutrition department. This position will be highly influential in deciding the key areas of focus across all sectors as we look to provide better services and resources to our customers and clients. Working closely with other functions within the business (Marketing/Communication/PR) to amplify key nutritional messages, both internally and to wider industry. Working closely with the exec chef team on product development as we enhance and promote our health and wellbeing and carbon reduction programmes. Working closely with our teams to engage and support social value projects within the community. Delivering added value events for customers of all ages, promoting healthier lifestyles and food choices. Using our nutritional software package to analyse recipes, across all sectors of the business. Managing and developing the special diet company processes, including calculating carbohydrate information for diabetics and attending client meetings regarding special diet provision, where appropriate. Supporting adherence to the school food standards within the education sector of the business, including supporting the development of menu cycles. Supporting the business development function, presenting our services to prospective new clients. Undertaking regular professional training as required, providing guidance and leadership when business reacts to changes to legislation. Undertaking any other project work or duties as instructed by the Chef Director that are deemed necessary in support of OCS business objectives. About You: You will have a degree (BSc) in Nutrition or equivalent experience. You will be driven and self-motivated with a will take the department in new directions. Your verbal, written and IT skills will be excellent. You should have a proven track record of continually improving standards and achieving targets, with excellent attention to detail. Experience of using nutritional analysis systems is desirable. Experience of working with people with allergies and intolerances, and registration with the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN) is desirable.
