Position Summary:
We are seeking a Plumber to work across the commercial offices for Rolls Royce in Derby. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for maintaining all PPMs and reactive works in relation to plumbing services across these locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate and monitor plumbing systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
2. Conduct regular inspections of plumbing equipment to assess performance and identify issues.
3. Monitor and adjust controls, such as water level, pressure, and temperature, to maintain optimal conditions.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Preventive Maintenance and Repairs:
1. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot boiler malfunctions and breakdowns.
4. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and equipment installations.
Efficiency Enhancement:
1. Analyse system data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
2. Recommend and implement measures to optimize performance and reduce energy consumption.
3. Install and upgrade controls, instrumentation, and monitoring systems as required.
Documentation and Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
2. Generate reports on performance, maintenance schedules, and energy consumption.
3. Collaborate with facility management teams to ensure effective communication and timely reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer / Plumber or a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of plumbing maintenance and repair techniques.
3. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., Health and Safety Executive, Pressure Systems Safety Regulations).
4. Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
5. Proficiency in interpreting and analysing data and performance metrics.
6. Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
Education and Certifications:
1. Relevant certifications in Plumbing or Mechanical operations and maintenance (e.g., City and Guilds Level 3, BOAS).
