Inspire a love of movement and dance We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Physical Education to join our dynamic and successful PE department in a sports-focused academy in West London. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in April 2025. About the Role: Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4 Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Choreograph and teach dance routines in a variety of styles. Lead extracurricular dance clubs and activities. Organize and participate in school sports competitions and dance performances. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our PE curriculum remains relevant and challenging. Foster a love of Physical Education in students, encouraging them to lead active and healthy lifestyles. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in PE education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education with a specialism in Dance. Demonstrates a passion for teaching PE and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for PE. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
