We are looking for a qualified nurse with a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge, to work as a Practice Education Facilitator within the Practice Education Team. We are looking to appoint a friendly, approachable and experienced nurse, who is organised and effective at building relationships and facilitating learning opportunities and events. A passion for education and development whilst promoting diversity and inclusion is essential to ensure our learners have a voice in shaping and improving practice placements experiences. You will work with all students, learners and practice educators / practice assessors / supervisors to ensure quality practice learning experiences / opportunities with consideration and action on evaluation feedback. Experience of supporting and assessing students in practice and being an active assessor and preceptor currently is vital. Good understanding and working knowledge of the NMC Code of Practice and Standards for supporting student supervision and assessment and NHS Englands Preceptorship framework for nursing is essential. Throughout the year we employee newly registered practitioners, in this role you will work with the Trust Preceptorship Lead to support preceptees transition and preceptors preparation. As part of your role, you will develop and deliver on the Trusts preceptorship programme, experience of facilitation and teaching is desirable, but you will be supported to develop these skills on the job You will be a role model and mentor in practice for our preceptees. You will deliver action learning sets and act on feedback and evaluations received for ongoing improvement in our preceptorship programme. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for you to build on existing experience, skills and knowledge of working in a leadership role, influencing the quality of practice placements and assessments undertaken within them areas. You will have ongoing support and guidance from the Practice Education Lead and the team.
