Customer Service Apprentice- Medical Recruitment
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medical Recruitment team as an apprentice at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust. The post is 37.5 hours a week working Monday to Friday.
We are looking for a full-time Apprentice to join our busy Medical Recruitment Team providing administrative support to the Team. This role will provide a unique opportunity to gain varied administration experience in a demanding yet stimulating and rewarding environment, including to provide a good customer service and admin support.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, well organised, take pride and ownership in your contribution, haveexcellent attention to detail.
The ideal candidate must have a flexible 'can do' attitude and the ability to use own initiative with excellent communication/interpersonal and IT skills.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
* To provide an efficient and effective administrative support service to the Trusts Medical Workforce recruitment function.
* Process recruitment-related correspondence and documentation ensuring efficient and accurate completion of recruitment related procedures
* Support the Medical HR Administrators and to provide other administrative and customer service duties commensurate with the grade of the post.

Job responsibilities
In this apprenticeship role you will be trained to:
* Process recruitment related correspondence and documentation sending of recruitment paperwork,, Online DBS applications and Occupational Health information chasing any outstanding documentation and creation of ESR assignments as and when required.
* Daily management of Trac (recruitment system) and NHS Jobs and completion of tasks regarding closing vacancies
* Accurate and timely input of data to relevant HR Systems and other HR databases as appropriate
* Obtain an understanding and action recruitment checks in a timely manner
* Undertake confidential scanning, shredding and photocopying as required by the HR department
* To provide a range of administrative support functions to the department managers, including word processing.
* Participate in the operation of the Medical HR telephone hunt group; dealing with telephone and MS Teams enquiries and promoting the interests of University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust optimising all recruitment opportunities
* Maintain departmental digital filing systems Input, collate and maintain data for vacancies/ applications, interviews and any other Medical workforce or recruitment related information
* Contribute to the smooth running of the Medical HR function including provision of secretarial support such as organising meetings, circulating agendas and taking minutes of meetings.
* Supporting with design and creation of materials for social media

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
* Demonstrable experience working with people
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Demonstrable experience in customer service environment

* Good communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
