Web Developer (LMS)
Remote
Day rate contract
ASAP start - August 31st
Instinct is working with a leading client in the professional education space, which boasts a significant global cohort of members looking to further their skill level with accredited programmes and qualifications. Aside from providing prestigious, market-leading certificates, they also provide essential research to raise industry standards and global networking opportunities for professionals working in this space. They are now looking for experienced Web Developers with learning management system experience to join the team and assist in a range of platform and system transformations for their global audience. Experience working on a learning management system previously is essential.
The purpose of the roles will be to work on the organisations internal platform which houses their curriculum and credentials. The respective teams of each of these areas are looking for support in the management and display of content elements within the platform, as well as in the triage process of feedback from the review group. This triage can include manual content changes in the Canvas HTML, updating CSS styling, or troubleshooting the export process. One key challenge the team are currently facing is that "New Quizzes" in Canvas does not handle CSS in the same way as other content, requiring inline styling adjustments to ensure proper rendering and functionality. As such, they are looking for expertise in the management and maintenance of this content, and other types.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
* Strong web development via HTML, CSS
* Experience with Canvas LMS or a similar learning management system
* Canvas/LMS experience to be responsible for look and feel/styles of courses
* CidiLabs familiarity
* JavaScript, API knowledge
* Deep understanding of content formats and transformations, including XML and XSLT knowledge
* Understanding of technical specifications for PDFs, EPUBs, and Common Cartridge formats
Aside from a competitive daily rate, the successful post holder will have the opportunity to secure a long term partnership with a global education body, and will be working on a fully remote basis.
