Trust Doctor (F2 and ST 1/2 level) in Medicine (Trust Grade doctor) - Medicine - Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We require Trust Grade Junior Doctors to work in the Medicine Department at Gloucestershire Royal & Cheltenham General Hospital, although post-holders may rotate between both sites. These posts are not recognised for training but will offer a similar experience as the Trainees who share the rota. The posts are initially for 12 months.
These posts offer excellent experience within the medical division at F2 and ST1/2 level in different sub-specialties with 4 months rotations in General Medicine including: Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Respiratory Medicine, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Care of the Elderly, and Stroke.
These posts are very suitable for junior doctors who have completed foundation training and are considering or have already been taking a career break (e.g., to go travelling) before joining a formal specialist training programme.
In order to provide sufficient cover for leave and general medicine out of hours worked by the junior doctors in the department in substantive training posts, the post-holder at various times may have to work on different wards within the medicine department.
You will be given a protected 1 day per month to pursue another interest to help with career progression, e.g., spending time in another department outside medicine, formal training in QI, etc.
