Introduction We are thrilled to be recruiting for a client who is a prime on a multi-billion pound programme to develop the UK’s renewable energy offering This is a strategic role that will be responsible for developing, monitoring, progressing, reporting and integrating project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible. You will work with the Projects, Operations, Engineering, Construction and Procurement/Contract teams so experience working in a similar £10 billion Construction project/programme within Critical National Infrastructure is essential. This is a remote role with occasional travel to London or Birmingham. Key responsibilities Establish Project Planning governance and procedures across multi-billion pound projects within Renewable Energy. Ensure that comprehensive schedules are developed using industry best practices. Drive a sustained improvement in cost performance through accurate and timely use of management information. Ensure alignment between Engineering, Procurement and Construction Make Work Ready plans and Integrated Primavera Master Project Schedules. Support the forward planning of Engineering, Procurement and Construction during early project stages. Utilise preliminary concept and design information and target milestones for field mobilisation. Work with stakeholders to Identify resources and man hours required to complete project activities. Build and maintain an organised, integrated EPC schedule using CPM, resource loading, Work Breakdowns, Baselining, coding, and cost accounts. Perform schedule analysis and report findings, including critical path, longest path and slippage analysis. Utilise critical path analysis and what-if scenarios to fully support the project team. Skills & experience Experience leading Planning and Scheduling activities in a £10 billion Construction project within Critical National Infrastructure across the design and construction phases. Ability to build strong and long lasting relationships with key stakeholders. Significant experience working in a project portfolio environment. Proficient in Primavera P6. Experience implementing Planning and Scheduling processes and methodologies, techniques and tools. Good understanding of Isometric drawings and Engineering 3D Models. Strong interpersonal skills and able to cooperate well within a team environment. Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Affiliation with a Chartered body or a recognised Project Management Institution. Additional benefits Pension up to 10% client contribution.
