- Classroom Support: Assist in delivering tailored lessons for SEND pupils, supporting both individual learners and small groups.
- Personal Care: Provide personal care support where required, ensuring pupils' physical well-being.
- Behavioural Support: Help pupils manage their social, emotional, and academic needs, using positive behaviour strategies.
- Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Support teachers in implementing and monitoring IEPs, ensuring they meet each student's needs.
- Collaboration: Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, maintaining clear and open communication.
- Safeguarding: Follow school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
- Experience: Previous experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or in a similar classroom support role.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare (or equivalent) are desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with pupils who may exhibit challenging behaviours.
- Knowledge: A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- DBS: An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or a willingness to apply for a new one.
