We are seeking a Head of Physics who will lead the Physics Department, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning from Year 7 to GCE A Level. Responsibilities include curriculum development, effective planning, resource management, and fostering a passion for Physics among students. The role also involves promoting the school’s ethos and reputation, both internally and externally, while maintaining professional standards. Additionally, the Head of Physics will contribute to the wider school community, fulfilling academic, pastoral, and boarding duties as directed by the Head.
Stonar is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2 to 18, which was rated excellent by ISI in October 2018 for both pupil achievement and personal development - a standard maintained in our recent 2023 inspection. Our pupils regularly achieve results which are beyond expectations both academically and personally and we pride ourselves on our ability to nurture the learning needs of every individual in a respectful, supportive and globally-minded community.
