North Avenue Youth Centre is in Melbourne, led by a qualified youth worker and a team of experienced & trained youth support workers.
We run sessions and activities for young people aged 8-18.
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers, who will help us during club sessions.
The role will consist of:
* setting up for the session
* assist in running the weekly activities
* help run the tuck shop
* report any issues to the club leader
If you are looking for youth work experience or somewhere to share all your games and knowledge, North Avenue could be the place for you.
You will be working with young people and a DBS will be required.
Skills
The desired volunteer should be an outgoing individual who is sociable and has an interest in working with young people.
No qualifications are needed, but interest in youth work is advised.
The volunteer should have or be willing to go through a DBS check and training opportunities if needed.
* Expenses reimbursed - Occasionally - must be agreed prior to the event
* Health and Safety Policy
* Ongoing support - The club leader will support the new volunteer and will provide any necessary training.
* Training provided - Induction will take place during the first attended session. Depends on qualification and previous training.
* Volunteers covered by insurance

Availability Details
We currently run:
Monday Olders – 6pm to 8pm (14 – 18 years old)
Wednesday Juniors – 4pm to 6pm (8 years old to the end of school year 6)
Friday Seniors – 6pm to 8pm (From school year 7 – 15 years old)
Ideally, we are looking for adults, but we are happy to talk to under 18s about the opportunity.
