Description Explore our new opportunity for experienced individual in Derivatives Operations team As a Derivatives Operations Vice President in Derivatives Operations team, you will manage the Edinburgh based team which handles the following daily activities: trade capture of all Over-The-Counter and Listed Derivative trades across FX, Equity, Fixed-Income, Rates, Credit and Commodities, process of mid-life events linked to Derivatives transactions including unwinds, knock events, expiries, assignments, exercises, interim swap payments and corporate actions, position reconciliations as well as cash and non-cash collateral requirements on Listed Derivatives. Job responsibilities Drives continuous improvement efforts to build long-term scalability, while reducing risk across all touch-points in the trade path Ensures the accurate and timely resolution and escalation of queries from Operations, Technology and the Front Office Facilitates training for new application users Works with the Business, Technology and Operations to determine priorities, schedule releases and detail the requirements for future enhancements/product launches Ensures that business activities are carried out in an efficient, controlled and timely manner by understanding, reviewing and implementing processes, systems and procedures in the context of a growing business with increasingly complex product offerings Oversees, monitors and executes daily processes and controls to ensure trades are captured on an accurate and timely basis Sets objectives and manages team to ensure objectives are achieved via coaching Acts as an escalation point for BAU (Business as Usual) activities Supports UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for system releases, technology enhancements and new product launches Delivers the location strategy agenda to have activities sitting in the appropriate location Embeds a culture of high performance, inclusion and excellent client service Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Strong technical knowledge of Derivatives within an Operations environment Experienced people manager Highly disciplined, self-starter with the ability to execute on assignments independently and autonomously Attention to detail with excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across geographic regions Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to varied audiences A process improvement mindset and an independent / critical thinker Aptitude to digest large amounts of information and devise appropriate solutions Enjoys data-gathering and able to tell stories with data Competent with MS Office applications Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Relevant professional qualifications with a track record of professional development Curiosity to see beyond immediate area, ‘connect the dots’ and be comfortable with ambiguity Emotional intelligence Effective relationship-builder across functions
