MBDA is looking for a SOC Manager to be responsible for the effective delivery and resilience of the 24x7 on premise services and resources.
Salary: Up to £75,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity:
- Effective delivery and resilience of the 24x7 on premise cyber security service and resources. This role reports to the Head of Cyber Security Services and CERT.
- Key lines of communication with the UK CISO, InfoSec Managers, IM Service Delivery, Group InfoSec Co-ordinator, other National SOC managers and various IT suppliers.
- Accountable for the continuous improvement and maturity of the 24x7 threat detection capabilities.
- Line management and mentoring responsibility for the SOC resources and cyber apprentices, ensuring any training and development needs are supported. This role has budget responsibility requiring close engagement with external security providers and collaboration with our internal procurement teams for any renewals and RFP activity.
What we're looking for from you:
* A career background within the cyber security space focusing on OT/Industrial environments.
* Understanding of Industrial vulnerability management and how it differs from enterprise.
* Experience working with OT/Industrial equipment and common industrial communications protocols. Monitoring, automating and protecting process critical operations.
* Knowledge of IT & OT Security Governance frameworks, Standards & best practices, including but not limited to IEC 62443, NIST 2.0, ISO 27001.
* Able to utilise Security Information Event Monitoring Tools and/or Network Packet Capture tools within IT/OT environments.
* Strong analytical experience and mindset.
* Experience within Defensive Cyber-attack methodologies and frameworks.
* Experience maturing security tooling through creating advanced queries for watch lists, reporting and alerting between Cyber Security Tools.
* Understanding of Malware capabilities, attack vectors, propagation and impact.
* Good communication skills liaising with the business and suppliers.
