COVER SUPERVISOR Blackminster Middle School is at an exciting stage in its journey. In order to assist in the continuity of learning and educational provision for our students we are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. The position entails providing supervision for classes of absent teachers as required across all subjects, writing brief reports on each lesson, supervising set work and assisting those children who require help with the set classwork. The position will also include arranging cover as required due to staff absence/courses etc. Our children are in years 6 to 8, and come from Evesham and surrounding villages. They are delightful young people, and deserve the best. If you have the resilience, sense of humour, flexibility and drive to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you. This is a role that requires good interpersonal skills, a confident and professional manner, good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively. The role is suitable for either QTS or a Teaching Assistant, Level 3. A sense of humour and flexibility would be an advantage. When not required for the above, the Cover Supervisor will provide in-class support alongside teachers, supervise students in isolation and any other duties as identified by the Headteacher or delegated member of SLT. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our federation of Pebworth First School (Reception to Y5) and Blackminster Middle School in rural Worcestershire, serving the villages around the market town of Evesham. The successful candidate will usually be based at our beautiful Blackminster Middle School site although there may be occasions when travel to our Pebworth site is required.
