Job Description:
We're looking for a Civil Engineering Apprentice (Drainage) to join our Transportation Team based in Ipswich, Suffolk, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineering Technician.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Hours: 40 hours per week
How does an apprenticeship work?
As a Civil Engineering Apprentice (Drainage) you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineering Technician, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to design, build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.
Your day to day will include:
* Working on the cyclical gully cleansing programme and reactive service to ensure that drainage assets are operational.
* Working in a small team collaboratively to ensure work is completed efficiently.
* Participating in out of hours incident response as well as winter service duties.
* Ensuring projects run to health and safety, sustainability, and legal requirements.

The role of Civil Engineering Apprentice (Drainage) is great for you if you have:
* GCSE grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
* The ability to handle physical work in varying weather conditions.
* A willingness to learn.
* Self-motivated, punctual and organised.
