Nightshift Hygiene Manager We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing client who is seeking an experienced and driven Nightshift Hygiene Manager to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Site Technical & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing hygiene operations across two nightshift teams, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards, and driving continuous improvements in hygiene processes. This is a pivotal role within the company, where your strong leadership and management skills will be key to motivating and guiding the nightshift team to deliver outstanding results. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for managing the nightshift hygiene operations, ensuring that all health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company policies are adhered to at all times. A key part of your role will be implementing and maintaining robust health and safety protocols, creating a safe working environment for all staff. You will actively drive continuous improvements within hygiene operations, identifying areas where efficiency can be enhanced and implementing industry best practices. Developing and overseeing cleaning and sanitation schedules will be crucial to ensure the highest hygiene standards are met throughout the site. Leading the nightshift hygiene team, you’ll provide clear guidance, conduct training, and manage performance to ensure exceptional results from the team. Regular audits and inspections will fall under your remit, where you will monitor hygiene standards, identify areas needing improvement, and take corrective actions where necessary. You will collaborate closely with departments like Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to ensure seamless integration of hygiene protocols across operations. Staying updated with industry trends and health and safety regulations will be vital, as you work to maintain compliance and promote best practices within the team. In your role, you will prepare and present hygiene performance reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), for senior management. To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate: A solid background in hygiene management within a food manufacturing or processing environment, with experience in a nightshift role preferred. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and established hygiene management procedures. Proven ability to lead and manage teams, effectively motivating and inspiring staff to consistently achieve high standards and performance. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear communication of hygiene expectations to staff. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks while ensuring compliance with stringent deadlines. Proficiency in using relevant software tools for reporting, documentation, and tracking performance. Desirable: Relevant certifications in health and safety and hygiene management.
