Director of People Services East Sussex College is a people-centric, values-driven, ambitious and inclusive Further Education College with over 1,300 colleagues and over 5500 students. We offer a broad curriculum including A Levels, T-levels, work based, 14-19, HE and adult programmes with campuses in Eastbourne, Hastings, Lewes and Newhaven. We are looking for a credible and experienced HR professional who will lead our People Services functions across the College. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will have a strong track record of building an inclusive culture, providing pragmatic solutions and advice, and building excellent relationships with colleagues and stakeholders alike. You’ll have strong communication skills and will be used to leading, influencing and motivating those around you. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and constantly looking at ways to improve the service across a range of activities. Our ideal candidate will be dynamic, confident and resilient. Sector experience is less important than being solution focused and your ability to work with ambiguity and change.
