The role:
As a Motor Transport Deputy Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being the first point line manager for return to work and any other employee related issues.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
* Assist the MT Manager with maintaining staff skill levels as necessitated by the scope of section operations, this will include actively supporting, reviewing and coaching staff training and development needs.
* Attend meetings in the absence of the MT Manager and those that also require the Deputy.
* Assist with the control, monitoring, and management of all personnel administration.
* Monitor the servicing and maintenance of the white and green fleet vehicles.
Essential experience:
* Previous leadership or management experience in Mechanical Transport and Logistics environment.
* Experience with MT based computer systems.
* Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
* Experienced in managing large diverse teams and individuals.
* Technically competent.
Qualifications:
* Must have CPC management qualification in LGV or PCV (O Licence)
* DTO / DTM / CPC (Training can be given)
* C+E, D
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
