Mowi Feed is the feed manufacturing division within Mowi, the Global leader in salmon farming, processing and marketing. Having entered production in June 2014, Mowi Feed has quickly established itself as a competitive supplier of salmon feed playing a key role in supporting Mowi Farming in its delivery of high quality, nutritious, safe and profitable salmon. Currently operating from its factories in Kyleakin, Isle of Skye in Scotland and in Valsneset in the Trøndelag Region of Norway, Mowi Feed has an annual production volume in the order of 500,000 tonnes per year. We manufacture a broad portfolio of conventional and organic feeds for both fresh and seawater phases of salmon growth in Scotland, Ireland, the Faeroe Islands and Norway. The Role Mowi Feed is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate within its Maintenance Department to take on exciting and challenging tasks within an expansive, dynamic and international manufacturing environment, running 24/7-365 days. The Maintenance Department looks after all the equipment and machinery in the Factory, along with the site infrastructure including electricity, gas, and water management. As the Storekeeper, the successful candidate will be working in the heart of this busy team, organising and supporting their records and stores, as well as coordinating suppliers and contractors based on operational requirements. To achieve this, t he main duties and responsibilities undertaken will involve a combination of desk and “floor” based activities including: Working with and maintaining records on the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - Maintmaster Liaising with Maintenance Engineers and Department management regarding planned maintenance schedules Purchasing spares and equipment Processing goods received and organising stores Taking responsibility for, organising and controlling stock rooms and workshop areas. Physical work involved to move, sometimes very heavy, equipment. Competence required in this area to ensure this is done in a safe way. Planning subcontracted service visits and coordinating with contractors on site, alongside department management. Education / Previous Experience Well-developed IT and computer skills, with experience of Microsoft Applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) as a minimum Administration experience, in any environment Business management systems experience Desirable (Though full training will be provided to the successful candidate): Experience working in purchasing and/or stores Experience working in an engineering environment Familiarity with mechanical / Electrical components / competence working with common hand-tools Experience moving pallets/ forklift work / Slinging and signalling Mowi Feed offers: Competitive salary, bonus scheme and pension. This is a permanent position which is full-time at 40 hours per week, with lunch breaks unpaid.
