Damp & Mould/Stock Condition Surveyor

Damp & Mould / Stock Condition Surveyor required to support leading Housing Association in Edinburgh to cover long term sick. (Est 6 Months +)
Within this role you will be responsible for overseeing multiple upgrade and repair projects, covering social housing in the local area.
You will join an established team of maintenance and surveying professionals who provide industry-leading social housing solutions across the region.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assessing the condition of multiple properties across the estate, including internal and external inspections.
2. Providing recommendations to the management team on the priority of work, condition of current stock, and longevity of existing infrastructure.
3. Covering both reactive and proactive maintenance projects while interacting with end users.
This is a customer-facing role where you will be expected to interact and empathise with customers on a daily basis, offering advice, guidance, and solutions on issues that may arise.
Due to the nature of some social housing projects, you will act as the face of the association. Therefore, strong customer service skills and a kind nature are essential.
The successful candidate will require a background in property inspection, maintenance, or stock condition surveying. Experience in a similar role is also considered. Working within social housing or a local authority would be advantageous.
A key part of this role is the ability to interact with end users who may often be distressed or frustrated; a compassionate and kind individual is required.
This is a long-term freelance position that offers a strong hourly rate and flexible working conditions. No hybrid/home working is available.
This role offers a strong hourly rate with car mileage paid at the standard rate.
