Nursing and Midwifery Programmes Senior Manager
As Programmes Senior Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic nursing and midwifery team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff.
The post holder will support the Head of Nursing & Midwifery and their Team, to ensure successful implementation of the nursing and midwifery portfolio of work at regional and sub-regional levels.
There is an expectation to be in Victoria House, Fulbourn, 40% of the time and to travel across the region as part of this role.
Main duties of the job
The Programme's Senior Manager will have specific responsibility for:
* Programme and project management
* Providing comprehensive project management duties overseeing the delivery of the work streams identified in the Long Term Workforce Plan
* Communication and stakeholder engagement
* Working with key partners internal and external to NHS England to ensure the successful implementation of the Team's delivery plan of Workforce, Training, and Education
* Nursing & Midwifery managerial expertise
* Liaising closely with the National Nursing and Midwifery Programme
* Ensuring attention to detail in all aspects of their work

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England holds a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route, you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.

* Programme/Project Management experience at a strategic/system level
* Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques, and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area
Knowledge
* Knowledge, understanding, and application of current NHS policies across healthcare systems and experience of implementation in relevant areas
* Knowledge and experience of working on national nursing & midwifery policy issues
Skills
* Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders from a range of organisations (health, social care, voluntary sector, patient groups) and from a range of professional backgrounds
